Description
A drawing loosely inspired by Samuel Taylor Coleridge's poem, "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner." I drew it for class. I finished it the same day I uploaded it! It's been so long since I read that poem...
All I know is that, the narrator curses everyone on board the ship, because he murders an innocent bird. (All the poor bird did was fly next to the ship.) Everyone dies, except the narrator, and he goes on the rest of his life all miserable...and...and..the whole poem's kinda weird, yet cool at the same time.
NOTE: Since I forgot some of the details of the poem, I replaced the mariner with some character of mine. I always pictured the events happened to the mariner when he was young. I like being inaccurate like that. This is soft pastel and charcoal on paper.
